Pressure.

Pressure. We all know pressure. A common enemy to everyone. Some people are pressured to drink or smoke pot. Others have the pressure to suceed, or to take your team to a BCS bowl. Kyle Brotzman knows the worst kind of pressure, the kind of pressure that causes you to miss two should be game winning field goals that are under 30-yards.
In Catching Fire Katniss feels the extreme pressure to keep Peeta alive, even though she knows that it will cost her, her life. She must give her all to keep going  and to protect the one she loves. The  pressure Katniss faces causes irrational descisions and to keep her compossure she had to be strong minded. Katniss keeps her composure for most of the book, but what happens when you finaly crack? Katniss had an emotional breakdown in the arena. Kyle Brotzman missed the field goals.
Clutch. Some people crack under pressure, others excel under pressure. As Katniss had more and more pressure put on her she stood up to the challenge all through the arena. Being clutch just doesn't compare to anything, ask Reggie Miller he scored 8 game winnig points in 8.9 seconds to beat the New York Knicks in a playoff game. Being clutch is idolized. Katniss was an idol because she thought fast, she was smart and she didn't let the pressure get to her in the arena the first time.
Back to pressure. Not everyone can be clutch, but you don't have to crack under pressure. You don't have to hit the game winning shot, you can make the game winning pass. Katniss protected Peeta, but she didn't do it all by herself. She needed the help of friends like like Finnick and Mags. Katniss made the right descision when it was most needed in the arena. So next time your under pressure ask yourself  "How will i do this?" Keep a clear mind and don't let pressure get to you, be strong. Moral of this Think, don't let your son grow up to be a kicker.
