The first game

As i opened the new can of tennis balls i heard the sound of the compressed air hissing as it is released. I can smell the unique smell of the fuzz on the balls. I shake as nerves take over my body. I could feel the smootheness of the new tennis racquets handle. I have not been this nervous in a long time. I see the parents as they chatter among themselves, readying for the match to begin. Its a hot day so i taste salt as i lick my lips in anticipation for the first serve. Its the last first game i would ever play.

  1. Kendrick did a good job of forming a foundation for his description that he leaves me to build on so it's almost as if he left me with a few minor gaps of information that he left me to come with on my own which makes this almost personal to me by allowing me to relate it to my own experiences.

  3. You let me know what your senses were, and I felt like I was there with you feeling the exact same way. Good choice of words.
